Your own private AI that reads insurance documents.

Upload a policy, certificate or loan document. diymyai reads every page and hands back the details you ask for, as clean structured data. It runs in your own AWS account, so your documents never leave it.

How it works

Three steps. No IT ticket.

You only need an AWS account. If you don’t have one, AWS lets you create one in a few minutes with an email address and a card.

Click “Launch”

Sign in to AWS when asked. You land on a ready-made setup page with everything filled in.

30 seconds

Create the app

  • Optional: type a short name to get an address like acme.diymyai.com
  • Tick the box at the bottom that mentions IAM
  • Click Create stack
About 5 minutes

Open your app

When the status says CREATE_COMPLETE, open the Outputs tab. Step 1 is your link, Steps 2 and 3 are your email and password.

Start reading documents

What it does

From a stack of PDFs to data you can use.

Built for the documents commercial real estate and insurance teams live in: declarations pages, certificates of insurance, schedules of locations, loan documents.

Reads every page

Scanned or digital PDFs and images. Amazon Textract reads each page, and you can choose exactly which pages.

Ask in plain English

“Give me the policy number, insured, premium and every location.” Save prompts you like and reuse them.

Clean, structured results

Fields and tables you can review, correct and download as JSON, ready for a spreadsheet or your own systems.

Compare AI models

Amazon Nova, Meta Llama, Mistral and DeepSeek. Run the same document and prompt on two models and compare.

Seconds, not hours

A 60-location schedule came back complete in under 20 seconds in our tests.

Gone when you’re done

Delete the stack in AWS and the app and everything it stored are removed. No subscription to cancel.

Privacy & cost

Your account. Your data. Your bill.

diymyai is not a website you upload documents to. It is software that runs inside your own AWS account, where your documents stay.

  • Firehorse can’t see your documentsUploads, prompts and results are stored only in your own AWS account.
  • Text reading keeps nothingAmazon Textract returns each page’s text immediately and doesn’t store it. AWS may use content to improve its services unless you opt out (see the disclaimer below).
  • Not used to train the modelsAWS states Bedrock prompts and outputs are not used to train these models or shared with the model makers.
  • Pay-as-you-go, billed by AWSNothing runs while it’s idle. You pay AWS directly for the documents you process.

Questions

Good to know before you start

Do I need to be technical?

No. The launch button opens a pre-filled AWS page. You click Create stack, wait about five minutes, and open the link it gives you. The only thing to type is an optional short name for your web address.

What will it cost?

You pay AWS directly, only for what you use: reading pages with Amazon Textract, running the AI model in Amazon Bedrock, and a little storage. While nobody is using it, there are no servers running. Check current AWS pricing for Textract, Bedrock, S3, Lambda and API Gateway.

Where are my documents stored?

In an encrypted Amazon S3 bucket in your own AWS account. Firehorse has no access to your documents, prompts or results. The only things Firehorse ever sees are the web-address name you pick and your AWS account ID.

Which AWS region does it use?

US East (N. Virginia). The launch link sets it for you. If AWS shows a different region, switch it in the top-right corner of the console before creating the stack.

I’m on my phone. Can I do this here?

You can, but the AWS console is much easier on a laptop. Use the “Email me this link” button below and open it on your computer later.

How do I remove it?

In the AWS CloudFormation console, select the diymyai stack and click Delete. The app and everything it stored are removed from your account.

Something went wrong during setup. What now?

Open the stack’s Events tab; the message there says what happened and what to do. Most often a web-address name is already taken: delete the stack and launch again with a different name, or leave the name blank.

Ready when you are

See it read your documents.

Launch it now and have it reading your first document in about five minutes.
